BAMIN BASICS Blackbeard Sweater
The late 17th and early 18th centuries were the golden era of pirates. They took great risks and took extreme actions. The sun wasn’t always shiny and the waves were not always calm. In their wooden ships, they faced thunderstorms, freezing cold, enemy attacks and sailed to see the horizon behind the fog. During those long nights, the sweaters and cardigans woven by their wives kept the young sailors and pirates warm and close to the hearts of the beloved.
The powerful pirate Blackbeard took his name from his long, big, braided beard that he used to scare off his enemies. He would fume out smoke from his beard and hang multiple pistols, some daggers, and bullets over his chest. Inspired by the strong and the famous pirates of the Golden Age of Piracy, the Blackbeard Sweater is handwoven from wool.
