For the New Year of 2022, Olcay and Ümüş Ceren Ekice decided to decorate the doors and walls of their homes. The duo went outside and collected pine cones, tree branches, and colorful leaves, then returned home. They sat down and, without realizing how much time had passed, created door decorations and wall hangings. Olcay and Ceren enjoyed the products they designed and the design process so much that they decided to turn it into a business. Along the way, the duo discovered tendencies that they hadn’t noticed before but had been with them. Eventually, their paths had to separate and now Olcay Ekice is mastering this journey on her own. Olcay's admiration for colors, the excitement and enthusiasm she felt while creating with her hands, the pleasure she got from design, the looms, crochet hooks, and knitting needles found in the homes she was born into, the rugs her grandmother wove, the socks she knitted as Olcay grew up, the cardigans, sweaters, and washcloths she has been knitting for years... Her dislike of industrial production, her boredom with the almost identical clothes and accessories she sees when she goes out... All these elements came together, and finally, E's Craft was born. Thus, Olcay began creating and assembling the collection you’re seeing here. From the moment E’s Craft first came to mind, it excited her greatly, and today it continues to surprise all of us with new surprises. In the future, the Designer is eagerly awaiting the experiences she will share with people who value handmade work, intricacies, and uniqueness.
