TINKALU Brocade Half-Tied Vintage Cushion
This is a unique collection of handcrafted and hand-dyed textiles from northern Vietnam, selected by designer Jan Mirkin-Earley and crafted into one-of-a-kind cushions. All textiles used are unique. Vietnamese Hmong women cultivate hemp and cotton in a traditional way in Sapa, northern Vietnam. In autumn they harvest and dry the plants and use them to spin and weave these traditional fabrics. The vintage textiles are real finds that are becoming rare as this tradition is dying out. They are made into works of art with fine hand-dyed silk velvet, cotton and linen fabrics.
